Tuesday 12th March

Nothing as exciting as Furious Fiction this week—just steady work on my WIP. Amongst other things, I discovered that one of my main sub-plots had trailed off without a satisfactory resolution. Working on that sub-plot and weaving it in the right places has meant a lot of serious re-writing. Meanwhile, most of the time the Covid elephant mutters quietly. Sometimes his burble of his moans become a bearable working background, like a constant babbling brook, at other times it is hard to ignore his snide asides.

And—writing related—my book club would have met tomorrow. We would have been discussing the Odyssey. I would have been the person presenting this. I have spent much time trying to write coherently but not academically, in order to email a light-hearted piece to fellow book lovers.
