Bullying and other things

Tuesday 3rd March 2020

A hectic writing week. Disappointingly, I have received a standard reply from Bullying No Way listing other sites to visit if I feel bullied. I have emailed one school regarding Grace. I do believe it could be a really useful tool in anti-bullying campaigns-- especially so as today when shopping, I saw a distraught mother and son talking about the son being bullied at school to the shopkeeper who appeared to be a close personal friend. Their feeling of powerlessness ran through me, but I did not a feel able to jump in to their conversation.

On the plus side, the local magazine COAST has brought out its autumn edition and therein is an interview with me conducted by Suzy Jarratt. Although the article is about me, both books are pictured which is great.

Other exciting writing news is that on Friday my writing group, Wyong Writers, will have a stall at the Wyong ‘Love Lane Festival.’ We will showcase our Community and Belonging stories of the Central Coast collection published in November 2019, and have lots of useful information about Wyong Writers.

And finally another two pages of sub-plots have been woven into my second draft of Seth. I keep reminding myself this is the reason I set up this blog.
